Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how PhotoEffects ("the App", "we") handles your information. The short version: we don't collect any. PhotoEffects is built so that everything happens on your device.
2. Photo Processing
All photo processing — subject detection, background removal, shader effects, and export — is performed entirely on your iPhone using Apple's on-device frameworks (Vision and Metal).
- Your photos are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored by us.
- No servers are involved in processing your images.
- The App works fully offline.
3. Information We Collect
None. The App has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information or usage data.
4. Photo Library Access
The App uses the system photo picker to let you choose images. The picker runs outside the App's process, so the App only ever receives the specific photos you select. Saving your finished creations requires add-only access to your photo library — the App cannot browse or read your existing photos with this permission.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
PhotoEffects Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see or store your payment details. Apple's handling of your payment information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
6. Children's Privacy
The App does not collect information from anyone, including children under 13. Since no data leaves your device, there is nothing for us to collect, store, or delete.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we ever change how the App handles data, we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect. Any future feature that transmits data will be clearly disclosed and opt-in.
